Job Title: Training Manager

Job Summary:
The Training Manager leads training and development for the Event Resources team, overseeing compliance and onboarding while building engaging courses that support independent and sustainable learning. This role ensures all new hires are added to the correct learning path and follows up to confirm completion of training tied to pay rate incentives. The Training Manager bridges communication between departments to provide comprehensive and engaging training solutions, tracking participation and progress to meet organizational goals, and drives outreach efforts to ensure associates complete all required training on schedule. This role also works with the Event Staffing Coordinator to verify that all fundraising students are registered for and complete their required training. The Training Manager works directly with Operations, Event Resources, and Administration Managers to schedule training and coordinate onboarding, and partners with the Associate Support group to manage onsite client staffing, dispatch, and check-in for major events.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with Operations, Event Resources, and Administration Managers to schedule training classes, new employee orientations, and onboarding classes as needed.
- Onboard and train new employees to effectively and successfully perform their job.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to resolve scheduling or training issues.
- Develop engaging courses and training materials that support independent and sustainable learning.
- Continuously evaluate all training materials to ensure they are up to date and utilized effectively.
- Deliver all training content which supports the organization's functional and organizational objectives.
- Communicate training schedules, requirements, and ongoing transformation efforts and updates to the organization to instill accountability and support.
- Build rapport and trust across the organization to positively influence the change acceptance process.
- Develop and implement new training programs which offer solutions to business and operational challenges.
- Develop and implement a system to track and report training attendance, completion rates, and performance assessments.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for training sessions, including preparing materials and managing schedules.
- Ensure a full understanding of the company's policies, procedures, and safety initiatives in order to support the organization's training program, and support company safety initiatives through coordination and communication.
Outreach and Associate Support Responsibilities:
- Provide training and staffing support for large events including ASU, Barrett-Jackson, the WM Phoenix Open, and Spring Training.
- Gather new hire data from HR, manage outreach efforts, and generate progress reports to track candidate development and training milestones.
- Perform daily outreach to ensure completion of:
- Security Guard learning path.
- GSR learning path.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a trainer, or in a training, coordination, or administrative role.
- Certification or education in training/presentation skills and training material creation preferred.
- Ability to actively engage a group of people for extended periods of time.
- Ability to transfer knowledge successfully and provide clear direction and explanations.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to attend continuing education and training, and attend regularly scheduled meetings.
- Proven ability to organize, schedule, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Awareness of company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Basic understanding of instructional design and training delivery methods preferred.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) or e-learning tools.
- Must have the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all members of the organization.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and possess the ability to perform each essential duty with strong attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual Spanish verbal and written communication is a plus.
